Have you had a baby in the last 12 months? Would you like to meet some other parents at a similar stage to you?
Come join Margaret Barry, who has been running support groups for mum and babies for over 13 years. Whilst welcoming a baby into the family can bring lots of joy, it can also feel isolating, exhausting and stressful.
Parenting can be so intense, and so lonely, especially in those early years. Margaret Barry knows this well, having experienced postnatal anxiety after the birth of her own son many years ago. She has been working and supporting families for nearly 3 decades as a Nurse, Nursery Nurse, Birth & Postnatal Doula as well as a Development Advisor over those years. Margaret uses her own lived experience and professional expertise to provide a non judgemental environment where mums can talk openly and honestly about the transition into parenthood. We will discuss the highs and lows of parenting, honestly over a cuppa.
These sessions are aimed at mums of newborn babies up to 12 months old. The sessions can be booked as PAYG £5 or block booking, whichever suits you best. If you choose to book multiple sessions you will receive a 10% discount for 3 sessions booked, or the maximum of 20% for 5 sessions or more. Sessions will be run on a Tuesday at 1.30pm-3pm each week.
Cost:
PAYG £5 per session
3 sessions booked in advance together £13.50
5 sessions booked in advance together £20 (that means one session free when booking 5 at a time!)
Groups are kept small, to a maximum of 8 women. At Bronwyn's Baby every person is important and should feel welcome and not judged. We are a friendly bunch, with a listening ear at the ready. Toys will be provided for small children.
Please feel able to respond to your baby's needs at any point during these sessions, feed them, change nappies, calm them, hug them. Do whatever you need to do, they come first. This is a safe space, join in with as much or as little as you feel able to. We will spend about 1.5 hours together in total.
If you are anxious, depressed and concerned about your wellbeing, please speak with your Midwife, Health Visitor or GP as soon as possible.
Dates for the Autumn 2025 term start on:
7th October

Our groups are held in our upstairs Snug area. Please park buggies downstairs and carry or support your child on the stairs. No.8 High Street is a 600+ year old Grade 1 listed building. The stairs are a little quirky and uneven. Please take care whilst climbing them.
